How Will Customer Pay through MOLPay VT?

1. Credit Card

MOLPay VT accepts card payment from VISA and Mastercard. Whether the customers bring their card or not, they can still pay. All they need to do is to have their card details in mind.

Customers with card
Customers who bring their cards can pass the card to the merchant when they want to make a payment. The merchant will scan the card by using NFC and get the details directly from the card.

The One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the customers through SMS and insert the OTP into the merchant’s phone. The amount will be deducted straight from the customer’s account.

Customers without card
Customers who didn’t bring their card can pay by giving the card details to the merchant. They only need to key in the card number, CVV and expiry date of the card.

An SMS with one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the customer. Customer needs to insert the OTP into the app from the merchant’s phone and the payment process is completed.

2. Online Banking

After confirming the purchase, the customers have to choose a medium whether e-mail, SMS or QR code to receive their payment detail and a link to the payment page.

The customers have to click on the link and it will direct them to a payment page to proceed with the payment in their selected bank such as Maybank2u, CIMBClicks or others.

3. Alipay

Alipay wallet is the latest payment channel that the merchants can provide. The customer only need to tell the merchants that they want to pay with Alipay.

Merchant will scan the QR code by using the phone camera and the amount will be deducted from the wallet.
