Responsibilities
  • Make sure that the database conform to the principles of security, scalability, suitability, sustainability, stability and supportability. 
  • Hands-on experience on AWS RDS MariaDB or MySQL replication, familiar with InnoDB & MyISAM performance tuning to achieve higher QPS through handing DR exercises & Multi-AZ HA deployment, and able to setup automation on log or audit trail alert and monitoring. 
  • Monitor database replication latency, backup and scheduled jobs. 
  • Fine-tune MySql. 
  • Troubleshooting and resolving performance, blocking, deadlocking, connectivity, security, CPU utilisation, server memory, disk I/O and disk space issues 
  • Ensure that documentation is maintained and kept up to date in line with standards and policies. 
  • Management of the databases, including change requests and troubleshooting incidents. 
 
  Requirements
  • Experience in capacity planning (Plan database growth and changes)
  • Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools 
  • Possess strong Database Management knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in AWS and other cloud environment 
  • Familiar with storage engine type : Aria, MyISAM, InnoDB 
  • Experience in backups, restores and recovery models 
  • Experience in handling over multi-terrabytes and above of data size using efficient tools 
  • Knowledge in NoSQL ( CouchDB & PouchDB ) and master-master replication model 
  • Knowledge in indexes, execution plans, performance Tuning, query optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools. 
  • Strong experience in Database Administration in MySql Server

  • Responsible for the overall company’s Cloud Computing Services
  • Ability to deploy a solid infra solution through AWS to provide WEB/Mobile services across the region. 
  • Have hands-on experience in system infrastructure setup, familiar with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Multi-AZ for HA deployment.
  • Able to achieve zero downtime, scale-up and scale-out, setup automation system healthiness status, log alert and monitoring. 
  • Set up and troubleshoot organization’s servers, conduct server back up, and maintain the Cloud services. 
  • Able to do Disaster Recovery planning. 
 
  Requirements
